DANIEL KIRK is the Associate Artistic Director and a founding member of BodyVox, the internationally acclaimed dance company based in Portland, OR. Since its inception, he has danced, toured the world, and has been part of the creative team that generates Optimism in Motion. Daniel has choreographed and performed for the Oregon Symphony, Inland Pacific Ballet, and was a founding member of Oregon Ballet Theatre. He was also co-founder of the skinner|kirk DANCE ENSEMBLE. Daniel has extensive performance experience both nationally and internationally. His technique ranges from classical ballet to contemporary to innovative theatrical and aerial work. His administrative skills are broad, encompassing management, development, marketing, as well as teaching. He has focused on Tour Management for about 20 years now, and is excited to be contributing to the ArtsNW community through board involvement.
