The Vinyl Stripes: Description
Rockabilly, Rock and Roll, Hot Rods, Drive-Ins, Surf Music, Early Elvis and Sun Records, swing! It's that classic sound and look of the 1950's and 60's that influences the Texas based band "The Vinyl Stripes!"
With their skinny ties, Gretsch guitars, slappin standup bass and retro rockin drums, The Vinyl Stripes perform those great classic hits from Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Dick Dale, and other great artist of that era along with new original songs that sound like they were from those long ago rock and roll days you will love!
From 50's Rockabilly to 60's Surf Jams, Vintage Swing, Classic Rock and Instrumentals you will definitely get real gone to the sounds of the Vinyl Stripes! Normally performing as a trio ( guitar, bass, and drums ), they are also able to add in a sax player for that big swinging rock sound!

We can perform and lecture on this music style and the history of it for school kids and also do senior center shows.

1 Fender Electric Bass -Precision or Jazz bass
1 Fender Stratocaster American with 10-46 gauge stringsâ€¦(note Â½ step down tuning)
1) Mark Bass rig consisting of one Power amp head, one 10 inch 8 Ohm speaker cabinet and one 15 in 8 Ohm speaker cabinet, two speakon cables Little Mark 800 or Little Mark Ninja head
