Narita's powerful award-winning dramatic and humorous one-woman plays about
Asian and Asian American women celebrate our differences, while illuminating the
universal similarities of us all.
In Narita's plays Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Vietnamese, Cambodian,
and many more women—are breaking stereotypes, creating true identity, surviving
war, surviving internment, cherishing family, and holding onto their dreams for
the future. From these women come different voices with similar dreams for a
better life, as they define their identity and find their place in this world.
